The Fourth Circuit Solicitor’s Office serves not only the victims of abuse, but batterers as well.  The programs provided work to end the cycle of domestic violence through education and intervention resources.

The Domestic Violence Intervention Program is a pre-trial intervention-diversion program for defendants with domestic violence charges in the Fourth Judicial Circuit.  You must be referred by the Solicitor or the Court.

The program is a minimum of six months and consists of a 26-week class model, with one class per week, facilitated by approved providers in the Fourth Judicial Circuit.

Additionally, program requirements can include but are not limited to community service, substance abuse classes and drug testing.
