Sherrie Baugh, Deputy Solicitor  -  Darlington County

Born in Pageland, Deputy Solicitor Baugh has lived in Hartsville since age five. She attended Sumter University and graduated from USC Columbia. She has worked for the Solicitor’s Office for 10 years as a Deputy Solicitor, prosecuting cases in primarily in Darlington County.  Email: Sherrie Baugh

Mary T. Johnson-Lee, Senior Drug Prosecutor  -  Chesterfield & Marlboro

 

An 8th generation Cheravian, Narcotics Prosecutor Johnson-Lee attended Furman University and Francis Marion College, graduating with a BA in History and Collaterals in Political Science and Sociology. A graduate of USC School of Law, she was the first female attorney to practice in Chesterfield County, SC as an Associate at Leppard, Henderson & Spencer. Contracted to prosecute abuse and neglect cases for DSS, she joined the Solicitor’s Office in 1997 as Chief Juvenile Prosecutor and Assistant Solicitor. In 2001, she became Narcotics Prosecutor. W. Shipp Daniel III, Assistant Solicitor  -  Dillon County

A native of Dillon, Shipp Daniel joined the Solicitor’s Office as Assistant Solicitor in November 2008 after clerking for Circuit Court Judge James E. Lockemy. He graduated from Dillon High School in 2000 and from Clemson University in 2004 with a degree in communication studies, before attending the University of South Carolina School of Law and graduating in 2007.  Email: Shipp Daniel

 

Elizabeth R. Munnerlyn, Senior Prosecutor  -  Marlboro County

 

Sr. Prosecutor Munnerlyn graduated from Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina in 1990 with a BA in Finance and minor in German.  She  received her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1993. After clerking for Circuit Judge James E. Lockemy, she became a full time Fourth Circuit Assistant for Solicitor Gordon McBride in 1994. She worked for Solicitor Jay Hodge from 1997 until his retirement in January 2009, prosecuting juveniles and all cases in General Sessions in Marlboro County.  She continues to work for Solicitor Rogers prosecuting cases in General Sessions Court in Marlboro County.

Kernard Redmond, Deputy Solicitor  -  Dillon County

 

Deputy Solicitor Redmond graduated from The College of Charleston in 1990 with a B.S. in Political Science and minor in International Relations. He graduated USC School of Law in 1993, and joined the Fourth Judicial Circuit as Assistant Solicitor after admission to the S.C. Bar. Working intermittently for private firms in Charleston and Florence, he returned to the Fourth Circuit Solicitor’s Office in 2003 and was named Deputy Solicitor in 2005. He has prosecuted three Capital Murder cases, and participated in 30 jury trials in General Sessions Court since 1994.

Adam Foard, Assistant Solicitor  -  Chesterfield County

A native of Pageland, Assistant Solicitor Foard graduated from Winthrop University in 2003 with a B.S. in Business Administration and a minor in History.  Foard gained his J.D. from Charleston School of Law in 2007 as a member of its inaugural graduating class.  He joined the Fourth Circuit Solicitor's Office in September 2006 as an intern, becoming an assistant solicitor after passing the South Carolina Bar, and focuses on General Sessions cases.  He resides in Jefferson with his wife Clare.

Patti McKenzie, Assistant Solicitor  -  Darlington County

 

Born in Florence, S.C., Assistant Solicitor McKenzie graduated with an undergraduate degree in Secondary Education and received her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. After her admission to the S.C. Bar in 2006, she immediately went to work for the Solicitor’s Office. She primarily prosecutes Criminal Domestic Violence (CDV), and juvenile courts cases, and also works General Sessions cases in Darlington County.

Edward Lee Hayes, Assistant Solicitor  -  Dillon County

From Dillon, Assistant Solicitor Hayes attained his undergraduate training with a double major in finance and entrepreneurship management.  After graduating from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan, he clerked for Richardson, Plowden, Carpenter and Robinson in Columbia, and later for Judge James E. Lockemy before working as an attorney for Greene and Huggins P.A. . He joined the Fourth Circuit Solicitor’s Office in January 2007, where he prosecutes Criminal Domestic Violence and Juvenile cases at General Sessions Court in Darlington and Dillon Counties. Kendall Burch, Assistant Solicitor—Chesterfield County

A native of Pageland, Kendall Burch graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2003 with a B.S. in Liberal Arts.  Burch received her J.D. from the Charleston School of Law in 2007 as a member of its inaugural graduating class.  Burch clerked for Circuit Court Judge Diane Goodstein, and was an Assistant Solicitor in the First Circuit primarily prosecuting Criminal Domestic Violence and Sex crimes in Dorchester County.  She joined the Fourth Circuit Solicitor’s office in July 2009.

John Holt, Assistant Solicitor  -  Darlington County

 

After graduating from the University of South Carolina in 2003 with a bachelors degree in Government and International Relations, Assistant Solicitor John Holt attended USC School of Law in 2008, where he was a member of the criminal law organization. He graduated in 2008 and served as law clerk to Judge Michael Nettles from 2008 to 2009. Mr. Holt is currently the only male member of the Darlington Solicitor’s Office as well as champion arm wrestler.

Patricia Rivers, Assistant Solicitor  -  CDV Prosecutor

Graduating from Frances Marion University in Florence, SC in 1992 with a BS in Political Science, Patricia Rivers received Juris Doctor from University of South Carolina School of Law in Columbia, SC in 1994, and was admitted to the SC Bar in 1995. In private practice until 2008, she became Chief Public Defender for Chesterfield County, and joined the Fourth Judicial Circuit as Assistant Public Defender in December 2008, and has been with the Fourth Circuit Solicitor’s Office since July 2009 prosecuting Criminal Domestic Violence cases in Chesterfield and Marlboro Counties.
