CAMPS ARE ON HOLD IN 2009

 

Due to the current economic situation, the Solicitor’s Office will not hold camp this summer.

 

The Solicitor’s Office is actively seeking out grants to ensure the programs will be continued in the future, and researching ways to improve the camp experience next year. 

 

Camp Turning Point & Camp Turn Around graduated over 110 at risk youth in July 2008 along with five mothers at Mothers’ Day Camp, the first and only in South Carolina. In its 11th year, the intensive therapy program for at-risk youth has an 87% success rate of youth who do not return to the justice system. In 2007, Youth Arts and Equine Assisted Therapy were added to camp programs.
