Camp Turn Around & Camp Turning Point 2007

Above, left, winners of the Solicitor’s 2007 anti-drug/anti-gang poster contest and Olde Towne Reunion Ensemble’s “What it means to be safe” poetry contest accepted savings bonds on October 20 at the Hut in Chesterfield. Winners are featured in the 2008 Anti-Drug/Anti-Gang calendar. Right, top, the 2007 grand prize winner is featured on the cover of the 2008 calendar. Below, the 2006 poster contest winner “Don’t be a Pothead” is featured on a tee-shirt. Both items are available at the Solicitor’s Office in Chesterfield or by mail order. Proceeds from sales go to benefit Camp Turn Around 2008.

Camp Turning Point & Camp Turn Around graduated over 130 at risk youth on July 27. In its ninth year, the Solicitor’s program has an 87% success rate of youth who do not return to the justice system. Now in its ninth year, the intensive therapy program included Equine Assisted Therapy and Youth Arts in 2007.
